How to Request a Correction

If you believe an article on Hoi.news contains an error, please email:

Please include:

• Article title
• Article URL
• The specific sentence, claim, or section you believe is incorrect
• A short explanation of the issue
• Supporting evidence or reliable sources, if available
• Your name and contact email, if you want a response

What We Review

We review correction requests related to:

• Incorrect facts
• Wrong dates, names, numbers, or descriptions
• Misleading headlines or summaries
• Broken or incorrect source links
• Missing context that changes the meaning of a story
• Outdated information in articles that continue to receive traffic
• Misattributed quotes, images, or references

Our Correction Process

When we receive a correction request, we may:

1. Review the article and the correction request
2. Check available sources and supporting evidence
3. Consult additional reliable sources if needed
4. Update the article when the correction is valid
5. Add a correction note or update note where appropriate

Not every correction request will result in a change. We may decline requests that are unsupported, opinion-based, promotional, abusive, or unrelated to factual accuracy.

Types of Updates

Depending on the issue, we may make one of the following changes:

Minor Edits

Small grammar, spelling, formatting, or clarity improvements may be corrected without a formal correction note.

Factual Corrections

If a factual error is corrected, we may add a correction note explaining what changed.

Updates

If a story develops after publication, we may update the article with new information and add an update note where appropriate.

Clarifications

If a statement was technically accurate but unclear or missing context, we may revise it for clarity.

AI-Assisted Content Corrections

Hoi.news uses AI-assisted workflows, but every article is reviewed before publication. If an AI-assisted drafting or summarization step contributes to an error, we will review and correct the article as part of our standard corrections process.
